The cornerstone of transformative change in First Nations housing and related infrastructure is for First Nations to assume care and control over their housing systems and supporting infrastructure. All members living on or away from their community have a right to shelter and must be provided with an opportunity to access safe, secure, adequate, and affordable housing.
